Fishermen from around the world are attracted to the salmon fly hatch that we have here at Big Hole River. Immediately following the peak run-off period in the first to second week of June the salmon fly hatch occurs. But perhaps the most interesting time of the year comes in the fall, when the Cottonwood trees change and the Browns begin to get their spawning colors. As one of the few un-damned rivers in the country, Big Hole offers great fishing for beginners and experts alike.
The Backcountry Angler’s Montana fly fishing lodge comfortably sleeps 8-10 fishermen, and provides the perfect summer getaway. Come enjoy our comfortable accommodations and experience the abundant wildlife we have on the property.
